Maximize the lifespan of your hose assemblies!

 

The lifespan of hose assemblies is naturally limited and heavily dependent on operating and environmental conditions. At PHILIPPGRUPPE, we recommend following the instructions of the hose and hose assembly manufacturer, with particular attention to storage duration.

 

During hose assembly manufacturing, hoses should not exceed four years old.

 

It's crucial to rely on the machine manufacturer's recommended replacement intervals. Extending the lifespan is possible with appropriate testing and empirical data, operator risk assessment, and regular checks for operational safety.

 

During periodic inspections, assess whether the conditions warrant a specific lifespan determination. Shortening inspection intervals is advisable when extending lifespan to ensure safety.

 

As a guideline, unless otherwise specified, a lifespan of 6 years is recommended (see also DGUV Regulation 113-020).
